As a new librarian, going into my second year of librarianship, it was such a fulfilling experience to attend my first NCLA. During this conference, I was able to present my poster detailing the community building process of my first year as a librarian, speak on a panel concerning job searching as an early career librarian, be inducted as the new Secretary/Treasurer of REMCo, meet and fellowship with librarians I did not know, and some I haven’t seen in a while. Overall, my experience at the conference gave me the fuel I needed to continue in my career in a way that is purposeful, joy-filled, and successful.
