The University Libraries continue to support faculty interested in providing their students with a low-cost or free alternative to expensive commercial textbooks with the Textbook Affordability Program (TAP) Grants.
Building off the success of the OER Mini Grants offered in the past, these new grant options provide funding to faculty who would like to replace a textbook or redesign a course using Open Educational Resources (OER), Open Access articles, library licensed materials or build their own OER course materials.
Faculty or graduate students who are instructors of record who would like to replace a textbook or redesign a course are encouraged to apply. Applications will be open on March 18, 2022 and run until April 4, 2022. To apply, please fill out the form at go.uncg.edu/tapgrant.
For more information, please contact Student Success/Open Education Librarian and Assistant Professor Melody Rood at mlrood@uncg.edu or Assistant Dean for Teaching and Learning and Associate Professor Amy Harris Houk at a_harri2@uncg.edu.
