University Libraries is currently working with UNCG and executing the use of best practices for social distancing and the use of Community Protective Equipment (CPE).
Services available to UNCG faculty, staff, and students include the following:
- Reference services are available virtually
- Library instruction is available virtually either asynchronously or synchronously for your classes, please see a liaison librarian for more information
- Liaison librarans are available to assist with finding ebooks, articles, as well as reserves materials https://library.uncg.edu/info/dept_liaisons.aspx

- Self-checkout is available
- Non-contact chat stations are available
- Use of indoor and outdoor book drops is encouraged for returning materials
- The code of conduct for patrons has been updated to follow COVID-19 policy
- The number of computers and seating have been reduced to allow for social distancing
- All persons entering the building MUST WEAR FACE COVERINGS as required by UNC Greensboro campus guidelines
- Hand sanitizing stations are available to patrons at the entrances
- Students are expected to keep a social distance of 6 feet between each other while in the library
- No room reservations will be taken for individuals or groups
- Water fountains will be used at your own risk; there are no plans to turn them off or disable them
- Housekeeping will do sweeps through the day periodically to sanitize common touchpoints and restrooms
- Sanitary wipes will be placed in technology areas
- No more than four (4) people in the Tower elevator at a time
- No more than one (1) person in the Jackson Main elevator at a time
- Sneeze guards will be deployed at modified service points to be staffed with limited persons
- Stanchions will be used to direct lines of service points
- Directional arrows will be used at the EUC Connector and College Avenue entrances
- Social distancing markers will be used to distance patrons throughout the building
- Areas of the building may close periodically for cleaning purposes as needed
- Please limit food brought onto the premises
