A free, public launch event will be held at Little Brother Brewing (348 S Elm St, Greensboro) on April 14, 2018 from 3 – 7 p.m. to celebrate the project. This event will be open to the public and free of charge. An exhibit of historical photos, recipes and other items related to beer and brewing in Greensboro will be on display. Visitors will be able to browse the digital project and speak with the project coordinators. Giveaway prizes, such as custom pint glasses, will be available in limited supplies, and we will be collaborating with Little Brother Brewing on a new, unique beer celebrating the event.
From the saloons of the 1890s to the craft breweries of today, Well Crafted NC features a wealth of information on the history of beer and brewing in Downtown Greensboro. Oral history interviews with local brewers, collections of images and other items illustrating development of currently-operating breweries and historical research on the beer industry in the downtown region help tell the story of this business sector that has been an important catalyst in revitalization and community development. Current breweries represented include Gibb’s Hundred Brewing Company, Joymongers Brewing Company, Little Brother Brewing, Natty Greene’s Brewing Company and Preyer Brewing Company.
