Join us for a free taste-testing event showcasing recipes from the North Carolina Cook Book Collection on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 12 – 2 p.m. in the Reading Room on the main level of Jackson Library. The event is free and open to the public.
Drawing inspiration from the Home Economics and Household Collection housed in the Martha Blakeney Hodges Special Collections & University Archives, the event will offer opportunities for students, staff and the local community to sample foods from an earlier era and reflect on how taste and ingredients change over time. As with other limited-use collections, University Libraries strives to broaden the audience of these items for personal use, research or curriculum development.
