On August 6, 2022 the University Libraries lost a valued friend and colleague, Hollie Stevenson-Parrish. Hollie was the Director of Communications and Marketing for the University Libraries and passed away after a brief illness. Additional information can be found here.
Hollie managed the Libraries’ communications efforts, highlighting the activities, achievements, and accomplishments across a variety of platforms. Her outreach impacted numerous people throughout the university community and she brought the Libraries’ stories to life through sharing personal stories, describing our impact on the campus community and promoting the Libraries as the heart of campus.
The loss of our colleague Hollie, reminds us of how precious life can be. She had a talent for weaving the fabric of a story into a compelling narrative. Her editorial work touched many lives and for that we are all truly grateful.
A painting from Hollie’s office has been given to us by her family and will hang in Library Administration with a dedication plaque so that her memory will always be with us. We are all fortunate to have shared some of our time knowing and working with Hollie.
